Ready to Deepen Your Sex Therapy Skills? Let’s Break It Down Together
Desire differences are one of the most common sexual concerns couples bring into therapy—and navigating them with care requires tools that are both effective and compassionate. In this free 60-minute workshop, you'll get a mini introduction to Sensate Focus, a foundational somatic technique used in sex therapy to help clients reconnect with their bodies and each other.
This workshop is part of a larger learning journey and serves as a free introduction to my Certificate in Sexual Health Program—where we’ll go deeper into treating a wide range of sexual concerns and mastering therapeutic tools like Sensate Focus. Whether you're just beginning or looking to strengthen your clinical skills, this free workshop will give you a solid foundation and a preview of what’s to come in the full program.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
1. Recognize the therapeutic challenges and opportunities in addressing desire discrepancies.
Participants will learn how to approach desire differences with empathy and clinical curiosity, avoiding pathologizing while creating space for healing and reconnection.
2. Introduce Sensate Focus as a foundational somatic technique in sex therapy
Attendees will gain a working understanding of how to use Sensate Focus to help clients reduce anxiety, rebuild connection, and re-engage with physical intimacy.
3. Understand how this workshop fits into a broader clinical training pathway
Participants will be introduced to the Certificate in Sexual Health Program and how it supports deeper learning in the treatment of sexual concerns and the application of evidence-based, inclusive therapeutic tools.
