Utilization of EMDR in Treating Childhood Sexual Trauma

This presentation will give a broad overview of the development and research of EMDR Therapy. It will identify the 8 Phases and 3 Prongs of EMDR Therapy and discuss application for a wide variety of mental health diagnoses. Participants will learn about bilateral stimulation and participate in an exercise using BLS. Participants will be able to assess the need for EMDR therapy and will know various resources for EMDR therapists, including EMDR trainings available to clinicians.
